About Me

My photo
Mindful Teacher
I am an early childhood professional, essential oil educator and daily meditator who lives and plays in Philadelphia, PA and Yuma, AZ. I love to learn and try to be open to something new every day. I believe whole-heartedly in play-based learning, & I enjoy the facilitation of an emergent, project-based curriculum (when a "curriculum" is necessary). Uninterrupted play and exploration time in which adults take a back seat is utterly important. Mindfulness practice has become a focal point in my life, and the more that I learn about myself, the more I understand young people and the families with whom I work. In recent years, I have also begun to learn more about how our physical bodies work, and why optimal nutrition is mandatory for a healthy brain and body. As an early childhood teacher, my job is to lay a healthy foundation for young people, demonstrating the importance of taking care of one's body and heart as much as that of learning the alphabet. I love to meet people, like-minded or not, who can help me grow in this adventure called Life. Find me on Facebook, Instagram, & LinkedIn: Kimberly Grentz
